(1) Page Switcher

Switch the page targeted for analysis.

  • The ⇄ icon at the toolbar's left lets you switch to a different page

  • Choose by URL, parameter-excluded URL, or page group

  • Enable "Parameter Merge Mode" to combine data across pages with different URL parameters (e.g., ?utm_source=google and ?utm_source=facebook)

  • You can also switch to a saved version of the page

(2) Date Range

Select the data period to analyze.

  • Maximum selectable range in the heatmap is 31 days

  • The heatmap list view supports up to 180 days

  • When comparing before/after a change, align the periods

(3) Segment

Filter visitors by specific conditions. You can combine multiple segment conditions.

Use cases

  • Compare on-page behavior between visitors from search engines vs ads

  • See whether mobile and PC users have different exit points

  • Compare attended content between new and returning visitors

(5) Share

Generate a shareable link to the heatmap. Useful for team-wide sharing.

  • The link opens the heatmap with the same conditions

  • Convenient for sharing analysis findings with teammates

Tablet

User behavior patterns differ significantly by device. We recommend switching devices for comparative analysis.

(17) Interactive Mode

A mode for performing standard page interactions on the heatmap (open/close accordions, expand hamburger menus, etc.).

Use when checking heatmaps of dynamic content (collapsible sections, sliders, mega menus, etc.).

The product UI labels this "Interactive Mode" (画面操作モード).

(18) Page Save

Save the page's structure file. After a page redesign, you can still view the heatmap with the pre-redesign layout.

  • Save from inside the heatmap, or from the URL switcher

  • In Smart Heatmap, you can add history heatmaps from any heatmap type

Use cases

  • Save a page before redesign and compare with post-redesign data

  • Record each variant of an A/B test

  • Track design-change effects over time

Color Adjust Slider

A tool for adjusting the heatmap color upper limit (the threshold for "red"). It has no number in the screenshot but is always available in the toolbar.

  • Move the slider left → upper limit decreases, more red and yellow appear

  • Move the slider right → upper limit increases, fewer red and yellow areas

Use when data is skewed and the page is entirely red (or entirely transparent), making analysis difficult.
