# Ptengine Assistant

## What is Ptengine Assistant

Ptengine Assistant is a browser extension recommended for use when viewing heatmaps (Developer: Ptmind).

## Uses of Ptengine Assistant

It is mainly used in the following two cases.

#### When Switching Devices

When checking non-responsive pages in Web View heatmaps, simply switching devices from the toolbar does not display the page content and heatmap results correctly. Without Ptengine Assistant, you would need to manually spoof the User Agent to check the heatmap, which is very inconvenient. With Ptengine Assistant, you can control the User Agent information and display appropriate page content simply by installing the extension.

#### When the Site Blocks Iframe Embedding

Web View heatmaps work by embedding an iframe on the site where the tracking tag is installed. If the site is configured to reject iframe embedding from other sites, it will result in a display error.

In such cases, with the Ptengine Assistant extension, no site-side modifications are needed — the Web View renders normally just by installing Ptengine Assistant.

## Installation

1. Install the extension from [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ptengine-assistant/camilcgaojjnemdajaipbjjkehleclnf?hl=en)
2. After installation, click the extension icon in the top right of the screen and pin Ptengine Assistant to your browser from the pin icon

After installation, refresh the page in Ptengine so the system can detect the plugin and enable it automatically.

## How to Use

No manual operation required after installation. Ptengine Assistant automatically takes effect when you access heatmaps.
